Accessibility statement
Everyone should be able to find Ben's number and ask for a repair. Here is what this website does to make that possible, and what to do if something does not work for you.
The standard we aim for
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We test with automated tools and by hand, including keyboard-only use, screen reader labels, zoom to 400%, and text spacing. We have not had an outside audit, so we do not claim full conformance. We fix problems as we find them.
What you can expect
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Headings, landmarks, buttons and links have clear names for screen readers such as VoiceOver, TalkBack and NVDA.
- Photos of our work have text descriptions. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and buttons meet the 4.5 to 1 contrast level, and text can be enlarged to 200% or the page zoomed to 400% without losing content or needing sideways scrolling.
- Animations are gentle, and they switch off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Call, text and email links are real links. You never need a mouse, a form or a drag gesture to reach Ben.
Known limits
- The link to our Google reviews and the Google and Apple map links open third-party sites, which have their own accessibility.
- The before and after slider can be moved with the arrow keys. The photos under it are also available as buttons.
